Risk

Vishram Sawant who made his debut as a director with Ram Gopal Varma's `D', goes independent with his second cinematic venture `Risk'`. Produced under the banner of Risk Design and Advertisement, Vishram again casts Randeep Hooda as the male lead of his film. However the character he plays this time around is poles apart. While in 'D' he played the role of a don, in 'RISK' he is on the other side of the law as he plays a righteous police officer.

He may not be flamboyant but his resolve his strong.
He may not come across as a powerful man but his confidence speaks for himself.
He may not be one of your on-the-face heroes but when it comes to taking on criminals, he catches them by their collar.

He is the man in 'khaki'.

Isn't that a RISK? But he believes that life is all about taking RISKS, albeit calculated ones!

Welcome to the world of dark cinema where both evil and good co-exist and it's just a matter of choices. Suryakant [Randeep Hooda] looks like any other cop seen in your neighborhood police station with none of the flamboyance or on-your-face style associated with him.

He is the man who understands that donning 'khakee' is the second name of taking risk in his life. An honest cop who believes in the right and detests the wrong, he faces the risk of threat to the well being of his family and the love of life Shraddha [Tanushree Dutta]. Shraddha is a dancer and supports Suryakant in his endeavour.

Threat to this family comes in the form of Khalid [Vinod Khanna], a stylized don, who lives life king size and is completely aware about his strength and might. For Khalid, cops like Suryakant are of no importance and can be shown a door as per his will.

In short he is a lion in the jungle who lived by his own rules.

What happens when the two clash?

One being the man who lives by his own principals and the other being someone who had written the rules?

One being someone who believes that he can bring crime to an end and the other who has made his living out of crime?

As per director Vishram Sawant, "'Risk' is the other side of the cop's life. It's the jeopardy his family faces for standing by him and his commitment to his uniform. His victory has a heavy price attached to it. It is about an honest cop standing on a crossroad of dilemma to take a risk. His job itself is a tough risk and doing it honestly a tougher job. It's a movie with a very strong character and hard-hitting story, which conveys a message and not the motives. Risk salutes the courage of those honest officers who are strangled in this system and still doing their duty in true sense not for the name or fame."

A clash of two powerful personalities in the form of Randeep Hooda and Vinod Khanna, the film also comprises of stock actors from the RGV stable which ensures that 'RISK' is going to be yet another hard hitting outing. 'Risk' is important for everyone from Randeep Hooda to Vishram Sawant, and is also most awaited for those who have been waiting to witness the return of Vinod Khanna, last seen in Bobby Deol starrer `Kranti` 4 years back.

Also starring Seema Biswas, Makrand Deshpandey and Yashpal Sharma, this thriller has been shot in various locations like Bangkok, Dubai, Austria and Mumbai and is expected to arrive before the year end.
