Very circumspect in her first film Rishika Sharma is sure to get more films in the entertainment field. This hope came up from her neat and clean address of her first feature film as director at Renukamba Digital theatre on Saturday at the audio launch of ‘Trunk’ Kannada cinema, ace lyricist and music director K Kalyan was present at the audio launch.

Rishika Sharma granddaughter of veteran director, actor and producer Bhishma of Kannada cinema GV Iyer (GV Iyer son Raghavendra cousin Venkatesh daughter) has worked on the story and screen play with lot of serious approach.

‘Trunk’ script took birth from a Trunk incident in northern Karnataka village. This is a ghost effect calls the people since 20 years. Rishika Sharma has done research on it and she did not want to give regular ghost movie. She took up the second angle on ‘Ghost Hunters’, roped in British expert in this aspect. When someone dies the ‘Trunk’ shakes, what is the effect working on it? Rishika Sharma has given scientific reasons on this aspect.

There is more silence and less of dialogues. It was quite difficult for Rishika Sharma to convince the inmates of the family in a village of northern Karnataka. She promised that the family identify will not be disclosed. She has added some modern touch to this development.

I don’t want to eye wash the people who pay ticket price. They should get a feel of the film and come again to watch. The belief of existence of ghost is left to ones perception. It continues in the society for ever she says.
