Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor on Monday remembered legendary Bollywood singer Mohammad Rafi on his 37th death anniversary.

The 64-year-old actor on Monday morning thanked the singer for being his voice in films. He also shared a photograph of himself along with Rafi from a wedding.

"Remembering the great Mohammad Rafi Sahab. Thank you for being my voice, lost you 37 years back today. Peace be with you!," Rishi captioned the image.

Rafi sang songs like "Dard-e-dil" from the 1980 film "Karz" and "Shirdi wale Saibaba" from the 1977 film "Amar Akbar Anthony" for Rishi.

Rafi died in 1980, following a heart attack. He is also known for famous numbers like "Chaudhvin ka chand ho", "Kya hua tera wada", "Aadmi musaafir hai" and "Maine poocha chand se".

Actor Jackie Shroff tweeted: "Mujhe dard-e-dil ka pata na tha mujhe aap kisliye mil gaye... Long live Mohd Rafi saab."
