Ranbir is one of the most successful actors working today. His charm, charisma and acting skills are unmatched when put together in a well crafted film. Ranbir has given several iconic and memorable films throughout his career whcih is why he enjoys a devoted fanbase. He also effortlessly manages to impress the critic with his expressive performances. However, one person he could never impress was his father, late Rishi Kapoor.

A seasoned actor himself, Rishi always pointed out area where Ranbir could improve. Ranbir said in an interview a while ago, "It’s true. The thing is, my father is a very honest person. He never says something just to make somebody happy. My mother is a big fan of mine, whatever I do, is the best for her. But, my father always says, something is missing. His father used to always tell him something is missing.”

Ranbir also recalled an instance when his mother Neetu Singh asked Rishi about the reason he never praises Ranbir. Apparantly, Rishi replied with a story about a trapeze artist who never praised his son despite him being amazing at his craft. The reason behind this was that as soon as person realises he's perfect, he stops putting effort in his work.
