Rishabh Pant, one of the most promising young cricketers in the world who is a regular in the Indian lineup has been seriously injured in a freak car accident and has been admitted to hospital The mishap occurred at about 90kms from Dehradun.in Haridwar District when Pant was on his way home from Delhi in his car.

Sources say the 25 year old lost control suddenly and the car hit a road block and burst into flames. In the first phase of investigation, cops suspect that the celebrity may have dozed off as though there was heavy snowfall in the northern states, the visibility was good at the location.

Swapn Kishor Singh, superintendent of police, Haridwar (ruraral) told news persons ""Hearing a loud sound, nearby villagers rushed to the spot to witness the car in flames and they along with the police pulled Pant out and rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to a famous private hospital in Dehradun".

Witness say that Pant was lucky to survive such a gruesome accident and so far it is said that he has injuries on his forehead, back, one of his hands and his knee. Hospital sources have stated that he is conscious and out of danger. Cricketers, film personalities, politicians and the public have taken to social media to wish Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery.
