Acclaimed director Harikumar's next film titled 'Clint' has been officially launched with a simple Pooja ceremony in Kochi. The film is based on the famous child prodigy artist Clint Edmund Joseph, who made more than 30,000 paintings and died before he turned seven. After the movie's pooja, the team also exhibited a few of Clint`s paintings along with the release a book Chithra Varna Chirakulla Oru Kutti`.
Harikumar, who was on the hunt for the movie's protagonist had auditioned over 800 children across India before he finalised on his hero, Alok. Clint`s parents will be played by Rima Kallingal and Unni Mukundan. This is the first time the duo will be playing matured roles.
Clint's real life parents will also play important roles in the movie. Joy Mathew, Vinay Forrt, KPAC Lalitha, Renji Panicker and Salim Kumar are also part of the cast. Produced by Gokuldam Gopalan, the movie will have music by Ilaiyaraaja.
