Barbadian singer Rihanna recently made headlines after she tweeted in support of the farmers' protest against the Indian government's new farm laws. Her stance caused a major disruption in the country as several celebrities, including cricketers, voiced out their opinions in the issue.
Rihanna has sparked a controversy yet again with her latest post on Twitter. The pop star shared a topless picture of herself adorning a necklace with a Lord Ganesha pendant hanging from it. The picture went viral soon after, with a number of Indians claiming she hurt religious sentiments of people with the "offensive" post. "Rihanna !! stop using my religion as an aesthetic !! that Ganesh figurine at the end of the chain is a holy and sacred figure for us Hindus," a Twitter user commented, while another one wrote, "Super offensive wearing Ganesha like that. My first god, a holy sentiment to millions of people celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi every year. Sorry RiRi, you disappointed me and others."
Rihanna is also seen wearing purple satin bottoms for the photoshoot of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, besides a pair of statement earrings, diamond bracelets, and neck pieces. Several fans of the pop star, meanwhile, are in awe of the stunning picture.
