When it comes to teenage boys, it is all about bikes and babes, here it is the case of a bike and this leads to a tussle between two young lads. How that bike also changes their lives let us see.

Story

Arjun (nani) is the son of a miserly employee (ahuthi Prasad) and though his dream is to own a bike, his father believes in saving money to the last penny. Arjun is all addicted to having a bike and though he goes to college, his whole world revolves around it. Then there is Mahesh (tanish) who is a responsible lad and he helps his retired father (kasi viswanath) by joining a chit fund company as a collection agent. On his employer's (brahmanandam) advise, Mahesh is compelled to have a bike and he is given a loan by his mother (thulasi) for getting one. On the romantic side, Mahesh has got a girlfriend in the form of Rani (swetha Basu) while Pooja (aksha) happens to be the lady love for Arjun. The story takes a turn when Mahesh loses his bike and to add to the twist, he finds his bike with Nani. How does the bike get there? what happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Performances

Tanish has suited the role very well but then he still has those boyish expressions which need to be worked out so that he can take up action oriented roles. Nani from his end has given a good performance and he stands apart with his dialogue delivery. He should just take care of not being repetitive with his acts. Aksha has done justice to the role with her glamour and looks cute while Swetha Basu looked glamorous and this time it was a mix of looks and performance for her. Yet again, she had that special catch phrase. Brahmanandam and Praveen combo came up with a good comedy show and Kasi Vishwanath looks trim and apt with his role. Ahuti Prasad was not used to the fullest.

Technical aspects

The rerecording has been done well and the music has been quite impressive, cinematography was apt and editing could have been better at few places. The dialogues have been written to the youth flavor and the script was written without many flaws. The screenplay was effective and the costumes will appeal to the teen viewers. Even the art department made its presence felt.

Director's portrayal

The director came up with a core youth oriented theme and though the presentation was good, the narrative could have been crisp. His focus was solely on the teenage and even the subject chosen would appeal to them only. He has handled the script in a better way and he should have worked a bit more on the screenplay part. He was good at extracting the performances from the lead cast but then he did not focus much on the comedy tracks that would have really worked for scoring few more points.

Critic's view

The film has been made with good technical values and at the same time, it is pure spirited teen formula flick. There is romance, adrenalin, action and chase sequences, the title of the film has been apt and the truth is, the story revolves around a bike but then the twist lies in how a ride can change the course of the lives of the youngsters. The film will be a total feast to the college crowds and given their lust for the bikes and speed, this will work amongst them. On the flip side, there is nothing much for the family audience.

Verdict

Complete teen treat
