Richa Chadda is one of those actresses who revolutionized the way women are represented in Indian cinema. While most popular actresses used to play glamourous and eye candy roles in masala movies, Richa used to take up roles of bold and upstanding women, who also had a significant impact on the plot.
The actress was recently seen in the web show 'The Great Indian Murder' where she portrayed the role of a cop. During a promotional interview with IANS, Richa was asked whether she consciously chooses to take up strong headed characters.
The actress replied, "No, not really. What happens is when people perceive you as strong-headed then those are the parts that tend to come to you. It’s not something that’s conscious at all. I would love to play a variety of characters but obviously I am not going to turn down super interesting characters like in this one it is a no-brainer I will not turn down a character like Sudha."
Based on the novel 'Six Suspects', the show is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and it also stars Pratik Gandhi, Raghubir Yadav, Ashutosh Rana, Paoli Dam, Jatin Goswami, and Shashank.
