With Pooja Bhatt's upcoming venture 'Cabaret', Richa Chadha had her very first rub with the song and dance routine in movies. Having prepped for the role with intense dance rehearsals Richa feels she owes the credit to her confidence on screen much to her background dancers.

We were told that Richa was immensely impressed with the hard work both men and women dancers do to make a career in the industry and was astonished with many of their talent and handwork. Richa strongly feels that the film industry must do much more for them and their talent needs to be really recognised much more than what is is currently.

Speaking on this Richa said, "I feel background dancers are the backbone of our industry. We are an industry where song and dance is such a crucial part of our movies and its a part of the popular culture. These dancers work day and night on sets to put up a good show. And they definitely deserve more credit than they're given".
