Rhea Chakraborty, who has been accused of conspiring to murder Sushant Singh Rajput, has said that she has been subjected to media trial, which has made her contemplate suicide of late. Speaking in an interview, the Bollywood actress also added that she has seen Mahesh Bhatt as her father but has been projected by some on social media as his girlfriend.

Commenting on her remarks, journalist Rana Ayyub said, "Rhea Chakraborty says she has contemplated suicide. Given the media trial and the witchhunt where she has been called a gold digger, vishkanya, slut, murderer, drug addict by a lynch mob, if she actually tries to harm herself, will the CBI indict these vile media outlets?"

Meanwhile, a PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking to restrain "saturated media coverage and incessant comments on Rhea during the ongoing investigations" into SSR's death.
