Bollywood qctress Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail almost a month after her arrest on drugs-related charges in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Yesterday, a special court had extended her judicial custody till October 20.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of getting drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. Rhea was accused to be an active member of a drugs syndicate and was arrested on charges of financing drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput who was her boyfriend.

Rhea Chakraborty mentioned in her bail petition that Sushant Singh Rajput used people closest to him for his drug habit and that herself and her brother were victims of a witch-hunt. Adding that Sushant had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and that his family abandoned him, she also mentioned deterioration of his mental health during the lockdown. While Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail and will be out of prison after month after her arrest, her brother Showik was denied bail by the Bombay High Court.
