Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on September 8 in connection with the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's case, was on Wednesday granted bail by the Bombay High Court. However, her brother Showik has been denied bail.
Along with Rhea, the late Bollywood actor's staff members, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, will also be out on bail.
Rhea should appear at the nearest police station for ten days after her release from jail. She can't travel outside the country without the prior permission of the High Court.
Reha's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, has welcomed the order and said that truth and justice have prevailed. He is of the opinion that Rhea's arrest was not warranted at all. He blamed the CBI, the ED and the NCB for allegedly witch-hunting the actress.
For now, it's a reprieve for Rhea. However, her brother's arrest continues.
