Ram Gopal Varma has appealed to big stars like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR to ensure film shootings are put on hold for two days to respect the memory of Krishnam Raju, who passed away on Sunday.

RGV, in a series of tweets, noted that one will be valued in death only if one values others in death. "An elder like Krishnam Raju garu's memory must be honoured even if he is not amidst us," Varma wrote, adding that production works were stalled for a month in August when producers were on strike to discuss issues pertaining to rising production costs.

Using strong words to sound controversial, Varma observed that not respecting a great artist is akin to spitting on one's own self. "I am saying this so that none of them (Krishna, Murali Mohan, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Balakrishna, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan) end up witnessing a similar situation in the future," RGV tweeted in Telugu.
