Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has smashed his own record with his latest outing Killing Veerappan. The film which opened to unanimous positive reports in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil has been getting lucrative offers from the television honchos to grab the satellite rights.

According to sources, a leading entertainment channel based in Tamil Nadu has come forward to snap the satellite rights of the RGV directorial for a whopping Rs 6 crore in all the released languages. This is by far a record in RGV films and the director is having the last laugh now for surpassing the expectations of the audiences with this docu-drama-thriller.

The film based on the elimination of forest brigand Veerappan not only revived the fortunes of Ram Gopal Varma but also proved his competence as a versatile filmmaker.
