After the second teaser of 'Officer' was released yesterday, there once again arose rumours that the film is a twin of the French drama 'Taken'. And for the second time in the last few weeks, Ram Gopal Varma decided to say what he should. "I once again want to clarify that 'Officer' is nothing to do with 'Taken'. Except for Nagarjuna playing a Cop and having a daughter, there’s absolutely no similarity," the director tweeted.
True to its promise, 'Officer' seems to be an out-and-out emotional cop action drama. Anwar Khan plays the antagonist. Myra Sareen is the female lead, while Ajay and Sayaji Shinde have key roles. 'Cops were never this scary' is the caption.
The Trailer will be out on May 12. The makers have confirmed that the film will hit the screens on May 25.
Marking the Jayanthi of Dasari Narayana Rao, May 4 has been declared 'Director's Day'. "Surely the first director, who made even the common people aware of the word Director. Dasari sir you will be remembered as long as films will be remembered," RGV said.
