In May, Ram Gopal Varma released the trailer of 'Coronavirus', a film telling the tale of a family fighting the demon of COVID-19. The film was expected to release directly on OTT. However, Varma has announced that it will hit the screens soon now that theatres are going to be reopened from October 15.
"Finally, theatres are open from October 15. I am happy to announce that CORONAVIRUS will be the FIRST FILM TO RELEASE AFTER LOCKDOWN," Varma tweeted. The exact release date is yet to be announced.
Starring Srikanth Iyengar of 'Brochevarevarura' fame in the role of a father who fears that his daughter may have contracted the virus, the film has music by DSR. Directed by Agasthya Manju, its cinematography is by V Malharbhatt Joshi.
The low-budget film, shot during the lockdown, is produced by RGV and Annapu Reddy Yella Reddy.
