Ram Gopal Verma started off as a director who went on to be a producer and then eventually reached heights as an entrepreneur. In fact so excited was he about his enriching foray that he even decided to take a long infinite break after announcing 'Naach' as his last directorial venture.

Well, 'Naach' [2004] didn't really dance at the box office and it required a 'Sarkar' [2005] from him to re-affirm his position as a director par-excellence. Meanwhile number of films came from him as a producer, most notably being 'D', 'My Wife's Murder', 'Mr. Ya Miss', 'James', 'Darna Zaroori Hai' and 'Darwaza Bandh Rakho'. It's a known fact though that none of these films made any impact whatsoever at the box office.

Possibly in an attempt to revive his old glory, Ram Gopal Verma has taken the baton on him to get the house in order and is now en route to directing as many as 6 films! First in the list is 'Shiva' which is ready but has now been postponed a couple of times. Last heard it would be coming in the middle of September instead of an originally planned 25th August release.

Meanwhile his 'Nishabd' with Big B and Zia Khan is ready too and is currently in post production. The director is undoubtedly excited about this project which as per him has brought out the best performance from Big B.

During the filming of 'Shiva' and 'Nishabd', his love for his dream project 'Sholay' hasn't died down and he is firm about his decision to start filming it from September onwards. A great multitasked person he is, he has already completed a significant part of his T-Series produced Fardeen Khan starrer 'Darling' that incidentally is one of the rare scenarios when he has directed a film outside his own banner.

But does the man rest after this? No, because once he is through with these 4 flicks, he would begin work on his sequel to 'Sarkar', a film that is supposed to star Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal role. With his affection for Bachchans increasing by leaps and bounds, he also has another movie in pipeline, this time with Senior Bachchan in the central role.

Exciting times are certainly ahead for all you RGV fans who had been craving for films coming from him!
