RGV announces 'Disha', says it will be detailed

Ram Gopal Varma has announced a social drama on the Disha rape in Hyderabad. A few months back, a young woman (who was a doctor) was brutally raped and burnt alive by four beastly men in the city. A few days later, the rapists were shot dead in a controversial encounter by the police.

My next film is titled 'DISHA' and it is going to be about the DISHA rape. After the brutal rape and horrific murder of NIRBHAYA (in 2012, in Delhi), the DISHA rapists went further in their ghastliness by actually burning the poor girl with petrol. My film will detail the thought process of the rapists as in why they killed her. They didn't want to do the mistake of NIRBHAYA rapists by leaving the girl alive so that she could lead the police to them, RGV today said.

My film will expose a scary lesson to all of us that rapists are trying to learn from the mistakes of previous rapists but they are not stopping the rapes (sic). The film will RAPE the fact that in a country where a monster like Advocate AP Singh (who has caused the postponement of the hanging of Nirbhaya rapists) can play football with the courts for years, people will always celebrate the instant justice delivered to DISHA, RGV wrote.
