The man who is known for his controversial statements, Ram Gopal Verma, is at it again! IndiaGlitz caught up with the director for an interview as hes busy with the promos of his forthcoming Department.
When quizzed of why hes directed Amitabh Bachchan in five films and Mohan Lal in Company and not yet approached Superstar Rajinikanth, pat came his response:
The reason I havent directed the iconic superstar, Rajinikanth, is because you need a complete different sensitivity if you have to make a film with Rajinikanth and I do not see myself making a film with him. Id not hesitate to state that you cannot call Rajinikanth an actor but a special effect.
On Big B he says, I grew up watching Amit Jis (Amitabh Bachchan) films, Big B is cinema. Im glad hes been a part of five of my films. In Department his character has shades of grey; he plays Sarje Rao, a gangster who becomes a dreaded politician.
The director will be helming a project shortly on the 26 / 11 Mumbai attacks and Kasabs actions that affected the normalcy of the country.
Well have to wait to know the response from millions of Superstar Rajinikanth fans to this compliment?
