The beautiful Bengali actress Swastika Mukerjee recently hit the headlines for being caught for shoplifting in Singapore. But our reliable sources revealed that it was all for a reason..! Read on to find out...

Swastika will be seen playing an ultra glamorous spy in Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming release 'Detective Bomkyesh Bakshi'. For which, she said to have underwent training to learn the techniques of a being a spy.

For instance, in the movie Swastika's character will be seen sneaking into houses, stealing for evidences or investigation. The actress had to be suave and quick in her dealings and had to have the body language supporting her acts. She had to portray the character of a confident, flawless spy in the film. However, the actress recently took her training a tad bit too seriously.

While she was in Singapore, Swastika stole some expensive jewellery from a big store. The actress sneaked the earrings away without anyone noticing it at that time. It was a very professional move then. However she was caught later due to the security cameras.

Swastika was the only actress in the 35 people contingent that traveled to Singapore to attend the Darpan Film Festival which celebrates best of Bengali cinema. Swastika explored the place and then went to a boutique later, where she was accused of stealing the earrings.
