Yesteryear actress Revathi came back with a bang with Puri Jagannadh's Loafer. Even as this is fresh in our minds, she is set to wield the megaphone for the Telugu and Tamil versions of Kangna Ranaut-starrer, Vikas Bahl's Bollywood blockbuster Queen.
She wanted to remake the film for long, but the project couldn't come through because of casting problems. To suit the nativity and the sensibilities of the Southern audiences, the director has decided to adapt it appropriately. In comes Suhasini, who will be one of the writers of the film.
Thiagarajan will produce this comedy-drama.
Revathi, who directed Mitr-My Friend (English) and Phir Milenge (Hindi) in 2001, may well surprise the audiences with her unique take on the subject. The original saw Kangna Ranaut heading to Paris and Amsterdam as part of a solo honeymoon after her fiance calls off the wedding.
