Revathi, a resident of the Visakha district, is no more. She was 8 or so when Pawan Kalyan first spotted her during a political yatra of his four years ago.
"At that time, I was saddened to know that Revathi was suffering from the dangerous Muscular dystrophy (which is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass). She could barely walk. Yet, she was highly spirited and was learning music and other things. At a tender age of 8, she was able to recite 750 slokas by heart. It was so moving to know about her spirit," the Jana Sena chief said today, condoling the young girl's demise.
Power Star gifted her an advanced tricycle, using which she went to school for a few years.
Earlier in the day, Pawan condoled the passing away of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna. "During his treatment in Bengaluru, I hoped that he would recover fast. He wanted to excel in films while participating in public life as a politician. It's unfortunate that he passed away without realizing his dream," the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' actor said.
