The actress in self imposed exile for a major accident Swathi hailing from Mysuru returns to acting via television serial Shuba Vivaha`. Swathi armed with Fashion Jewellery degree, modelling, and winner of Miss Karnataka in 2009 was seen in 12 films in Kannada. She met with an accident while travelling in auto rickshaw suffered serious injuries. Career is finished she thought after accident. After two years she returns to arch light.

Swathi of Madesha, Hunja, Varasdaara, Dandupalya, Bidalaare Naa, Uda, Murari, Likitha in Telugu returns with a mega television serial Shuba Vivaaha` of Jagadish in Zee Kannada – she plays a trouble shooter with negative shade. She is Urmila in the mega serial. Swathi had formal training in Adarsha film institute and she was first spotted by Guru Deshpande.

In her second innings in cinema Swathi has signed a Kannada film that will be announced on Ganesha festival. She has one film from Tamil in the direction of Bharath Kumar of VFX.

The costume controversy in Hunja` for an item song got her to rumour mill. After that the costume selection of Swathi is looked after by her sister Anitha who is masters in computer application post graduate.
