Looks like Resul Pookutty is concerned about the way Association of Malayalam Movie Actors (AMMA) treated Dileep after his arrest. As you know, Dileep received severe criticism for the alleged role he played in the abduction and assault of a popular Malayalam actress. In a series of Tweets, the Oscar Award winning sound artist expressed his concern on the mob mentality everyone showed to declare Dileep guilty in the case.

"I'm quite surprised by my Malayalam Film Fraternity, the moment police arrested #Dileep everybody left him! Amma removed him from primary membership. As per our judicial system every accused is presumed innocent untill proven guilty! Why was the hurry to declare him guilty?!," wrote Resul Pookutty on Twitter. "There is a mob mentality the way everyone looked at #Dileep's case.I hpe judiciary shows wisdom in looking at his case& look@ the fine print," he added.

Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the actress abduction case, pointed fingers at Dileep and said that he was the mastermind behind the attacks. Following a series of interrogation sessions by the Special Investigation Team of the Kerala Police, actor Dileep was arrested on July 10th, 2017 after having found irrefutable evidence against the actor for conspiring the abduction and assault of a popular Malayalam actress. Dileep had recently moved to the Kerala High Court for the second time requesting bail. The High Court bench has adjourned the hearing of the actor`s new bail application on August 18.
