For the first time since February 28, New Zealand has reported zero active cases of Coronavirus, as announced by the nation's Health Ministry said in latest statement. As per reports, the last person who had been receiving treatment for coronavirus infection was discharged from isolation.
The last Coronavirus infected person in New Zealand is now found to be symptom-free and certified to have recovered, announced Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield.
Following this positive development, the Prime minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern announced that coronavirus measures in the country will be removed from Tuesday, with only the border closure restriction prevailing. She also announced that public and private events can be conducted without restrictions and retail and hospitality sectors will be functioning, besides resumption of public transport services.
