On account of the tension prevailing around the demand of political groups and others demanding the boycott of IPL, a slew of restrictions have been imposed of those who will be attending the Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata knight Riders clash tomorrow at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium.

Pertaining to this, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has banned cell phones, flags, banners, boards, electronic items and even musical instruments as well. Authorities have also imposed ban on edibles, fire arms, ammunition with the viewers subjected to checking/frisking by security personnel. It should also be noted that reentry into the stadium is also not allowed.

Evidently, the security measures have been tightened after talks between IPL  security and Tamil Nadu police. The IPL has become a subject of contention with many suggesting that the tournament be stopped as it desensitises the populace of the struggle for Cauvery and Sterlite issues.
