Popular TV channel Republic and the polling agency CVoter have come up with National Approval Ratings. As per them, if elections are held now, YSRCP will win 21 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, leaving the ruling TDP with a mere 4.

As per the survey, the TDP stands to lose because of its exit from the NDA (a few months ago over the special status issue). Its vote share has eroded significantly, the survey says.

But can Chandrababu Naidu hope to undo the damage somewhat by allying with the Congress? The survey says that it will be a good idea to ally with Rahul Gandhi's party. In that case, not only will Congress will 4 seats (with no TDP, it will win zero), but also TDP will win 8 seats. This scenario will be bad news to YSRCP, which then will get 13 seats.
