Republic Network will launch a TV channel in every language: Arnab Goswami

Arnab Goswami, India's pre-eminent journalist, was on Wednesday released from Mumbai's Taloja Jail hours after the Supreme Court said that he should be let out on interim bail. The Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV was received by hundreds of his fans as he walked out of the jail. He took a rally and chanted slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram'.

After reaching the studio, Arnab gave a speech amid the cheers of his employees. In what was a semi-political speech that had direct references to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Arnab said that Republic Network will be launching a TV channel in every major language of India in less than two years.

This only means that a Republic Telugu TV, among others, is going to be a reality sooner than later. Telugu is the next most important language in the media industry after Hindi and English. It will likely be vehemently pro-BJP and one of the first important Telugu channels to be so.

In his address to his viewers, Arnab said, We won't bow down. We are honoured to serve the truth.
