The outbreak of COVID-19 has created a global health crisis across the world that has impacted the lives of people in unimaginable ways. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak, which originated in China's Wuhan, a pandemic on March 11 after over a hundred countries started reporting increasing numbers of cases and deaths.
The pandemic is far from over and much of the world remains on some form of lockdown while a few of the worst-hit regions have decided to hold off on easing curfews. However, some countries have slowly started to loosen restrictions following a consistent reduction in the number of reported cases. Several measures have been put in place, ranging from various means of social distancing to UV sanitizers at public spots, in an attempt to restart battered economies without fueling a second wave of COVID-19 infections. Following are some of the safety measures that will be undertaken by European countries, including Germany, Finland, Austria, Italy, and Spain to curb the transmission of the virus.
