After announcing last week that theatres in the country can operate with a maximum of 50% of their seating capacity, earlier today the central government issued key guidelines on the opening of the theater as part of the fifth phase of relaxation.
However, the Tamil Nadu government has made a latest announcement on their decision regarding opening the theaters which has shocked theatre owners. With centre announcing reopening of theaters from October 15, theater owners and filmmakers were expecting the Tamil Nadu government to announce the same.
Today, Tamil Nadu minister Kadambur Raju addressed the media today has announcing that there’s no possibility of opening theaters in Tamil Nadu soon.Theater owners have been affected due to the Corona shutdown which has crossed more than six months and even as filmmakers are constantly requesting the government to reopen the theaters. However the Tamil Nadu government is in no hurry to reopen theaters as the pandemic isn’t under control.
