It's known that Renu Desai is currently directing a message-oriented film on the issue of farm distress. It's a children's film dealing with the serious issue of farmers' suicides.

Speaking to a national daily, the 'Badri' and 'Johnny' actress has said that she would like her son Akira and daughter Aadya to take up part-time farming when they grow up. The ex-wife of Pawan Kalyan revealed that she frequently makes them visit farms so they are sensitized about the place of farming in our lives.

Renu's love for farming is shared by actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, too. It's well known that the Jana Sena chief practices zero farming at his farmhouse in Hyderabad and describes himself as a farmer.

As for Renu, direction is not the only thing that she is up to. She will also be acting in a Telugu-language web-series, which will go on the floors later this month.
