There was a time when Renu Desai wanted to be a scientist. She had a chance brush with modelling in 1995 and that changed the life of the ex-wife of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Renu said that 9 September 1995 (this day that year) was the first day when she faced the camera. As a child, the beauty wanted to be a space scientist or a neurosurgeon, with her mark sheets supporting her wishes.
"But, I guess destiny had other plans for me because when unexpectedly I faced the camera as a 16-year old, I fell in love with the process of filmmaking. And as we all know the rest is history," Renu, who would go on to act opposite Pawan Kalyan in 'Badri' and 'Johnny', wrote.
"It was an extremely painful decision for me as a 16-year old to let go of my dream of becoming a space scientist and joining NASA. It definitely bothered me for a few years but as my love for filmmaking grew, I made peace with my love for physics and mathematics. As a director, I still have to deal with “stars” albeit a little bit different ones," Renu, who is planning to direct a new movie, added.
She ended the message with an inspiring message. "Follow your heart always and work hard and sincerely and I personally guarantee you that success and happiness will be yours!"
The actress' son, Akhira Nandan, was recently spotted at a public place. He has grown 6'4'' tall and might debut as a lead actor!
