Renu Desai, Akira contract Covid-19

Former actress and ex-wife of Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai, has tested positive for Covid-19. Akira Nandan, the son of Renu and Power Star, has also contracted the virus. In her statement on Tuesday, the ‘Badri’ and ‘Johnny’ actress urged one and all to take the ongoing wave of the pandemic seriously. She said that she was planning to get her son vaccinated (now that the 15-18 age group adolescents are eligible for vaccination). 

“In spite of sitting at home most of the time and sitting at home for new years, Akira and I tested positive with symptoms a few days ago. We both are recovering now and I request all of you to please take this third wave seriously,” Renu wrote. “Wear your masks and be careful as much as possible,” she added. 

Renu continued the message, saying, “I had both my vaccines last year and was going to give Akira his now but he tested positive before that.”
