Sree Ramakrishna, the celebrated dialogue writer who brought numerous dubbed films to life for Telugu audiences, including iconic titles like "Aparachitudu" and "Bombay," breathed his last on April 1st, 2024, at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. He was 74 and succumbed to an illness.
Born in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, Sree Ramakrishna moved to Chennai fifty years ago and carved a niche for himself in the South Indian film industry. He is survived by his wife Swati and son Gautam.
Sree Ramakrishna's contribution to Telugu cinema is immense. He penned dialogues for several Mani Ratnam and Shankar films, bringing their magic closer to the Telugu-speaking audience. He also wrote the Telugu dialogues for some of Rajinikanth's biggest blockbusters, including "Gentleman," "Oke Okkadu," and "Chandramukhi." Apart from being a prolific dialogue writer, Sree Ramakrishna also directed two films. His final work as a dialogue writer was for Rajinikanth's "Darbar."
