The Madras High Court on Friday directed film producer Murali Mohan to immediately remove from the hoardings in the city the tagline (When Justice Fail) of his forthcoming Tamil movie Arasatchi starring Arjun.

A city- based advocate R Kalidoss yesterday moved a public litigation case at the Madras High Court seeking a ban on the film Arasatchi where the hero Arjun kills nine lawyers appearing for criminals. The petitioner said the film was against the lawyers community.

A Division Bench comprising Justice M Karpagavinayagam and Justice S Ashok Kumar yesterday asked the film producer to submit the script today. When the case came up for hearing, on behalf of film producer, Advocate Sathishparasan submitted the script and said every one had right to express their views and also a huge investment had been made on the film as it was a commercial film.

On behalf of the petitioner, Advocate Raja Sundarapandain said that in the film, the hero who acts as a lawyer takes law in his hands and kills nine lawyers appearing for criminals. This had brought down the reputation of the lawyers and affected the faith reposed on the judiciary. The two -member bench saw the photos of the films and asked the producer to remove the slogans. They also said further orders would be passed after seeing the film on Monday.

The hearing in the case was adjourned to Tuesday.
