A PIL has been filed with the Supreme Court of India by advocates GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav, who argued that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy should be removed from his post constitutionally.
As per the PIL, Jagan recently made scandalous remarks against Justice NV Ramana, the second senior-most judge of the apex court. Besides, he faces 20 criminal cases, including those of serious nature, the PIL notes.
"He has made allegations against Justice Ramana. The allegations lack basis," the PIL says, though not exactly in these words.
The allegations are false, vague, and political in nature, the plea adds. "We urge the top court to initiate a judicial enquiry over the allegations made by the AP CM against Justice Ramana," it adds.
