It’s been a year since he left for heavenly abode; but his near and dear ones, movie buffs, ardent followers have kept his pulses alive throughout.. And so fast the days have passed by that his birth anniversary is here. Yash Chopra. The name says it all...

Today the entire B-Town would remember this legendary Film Man - one of the pillars of Hindi Cinema. ‘Waqt’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Darr’, ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Veer Zaara’... all of which (and many more) resonates the very essence of Yashji, his magical touch over the theme of love, sacrifice, emotions, relationships.. His leading ladies were picture perfect and portrayed as the dream girl of every man. The way he painted his screen canvas with vibrant colours woven into melodious songs. Everything meticulously packed into a perfect entertainment gift to viewers...

Yash Chopra was known to be Bollywood’s ladies’ man. And his widow Pamela Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to make the late auteur’s upcoming birthday special. Pamela, for whom Yashji was heart and soul, has planned to celebrate the with pomp and splendour and even decided to continue this celebrating practice in all the years to come. At a gala fashion show in the memory of the late filmmaker, nine of Chopra’s popular heroines will walk the ramp along with Shah Rukh Khan at this birthday bash.

Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Katrina Kaif - each of these beauties who had been a part of iconic films of Yash Chopra will be among those who will grace the show that will witness the launch of a new initiative Diva’ni.

As a token of her undying love for her late husband, Pam apparently penned the invitation notes herself that were sent out only to family. The guest list does not include any names from the industry other than the 9 actresses to walk the ramp and SRK. The reason being that she wants to keep the event a very intimate affair.

On this note, IndiaGlitz pays heartfelt tribute to the filmmaking icon. B-Town misses you, Yashji!
