In the wake of Government of Karnataka giving remake films entertainment tax exemption a number of remake films are in the queue.
As of now except hat trick Shivarajakumar almost all the stars are accepting the remake films. Dr.Vishnuvardhana has accepted Telugu film 'Ma Nanaku Pelli' a super hit film made a decade ago.
This is going on the floors in October. The latest news is challenging star Darshan has accepted 'Pokiri' remake that is produced by actor Tharakesh Patel brother Datthu. Upendra's next film by director Naganna is a remake of 'Dubai Seenu' while his ready for release 'Budhivantha' is a remake of 'Naan Avanillai', Puneeth Rajakumar has given consent to 'Ready' Telugu film for Aditya Arts.
Sudeep is already working on Telugu film 'Vikramarkudu' remake that is 'Veera Madhakari'. He is also directing this remake film. In the past he has directed only remake films. Cheran's 'Autograph' is 'My Autograph' and 'Bawarchi' is made as 'No.73 Shanthinivasa'. The Kannada producer of Telugu film 'Ullasangha Uthsahanga' is looking for right stars to cast in Kannada remake. Telugu film 'Vasantham' the five joint producers of 'Geleya' Kannada film.
'Anu' starring Pooja Gandhi, Rashmi is a direct lift from 'Anusooya' Telugu film. The last week release 'Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu' is a remake of Telugu film 'Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule'. In this year releases 'Maru Janma', 'Mr Garagasa', 'Athmeeya', 'Indhra', 'Kamannana Makkalu' are remake films.
