Reliance Industries is going to build one of the largest zoos in the world in Gujarat's Jamnagar. The same will be ready by 2022. The Central Zoo Authority has already approved the layout plan submitted by the promoters.

Touted to be a mega zoo, it will be named as Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Kingdom. An area of 250.1 acres will be used up for the zoo, where a wide variety of animals will be kept. It may be noted that Reliance has an oil refinery in Jamnagar.

As per a statement made by a key official of the Gujarat government, Mukesh Ambani's son, Anant Ambani, will supervise its building.

Animals such as the African Lion, Cheetah, Jaguar, Indian Wolf, Bengal Tiger and Asiatic Lion will be kept in the zoo.
