Actor Arjun Rampal is all set to impress the audience with a stunning performance in his first historical drama titled, 'The Battle of Bhima Koregaon'. He will be essaying the role of the warrior Sidhnak Mahar Inamdar with Sunny Leone playing a spy. It is set to hit the screens on September 17 this year.

Set almost two centuries in Maharashtra's Peshwa regime, the movie will revolve around the real life battle fought between the British East India Company and the Peshwa faction of the Maratha Confederacy, at Koregaon Bhima. The film stars Digangana Suryavanshi, Govind Namdev, Ashok Samarth, Milind Gunaji, Krushna Abhishek, Abhimanyu Singh and newcomer Rishi Sharma in key roles.

Director Thete shared, "We are very positive about the outcome and have worked extensively on innovating the marketing and distribution space. September serves better as it initiates the entire festive season ahead."
