Director Rathna Siva's 'Rekka' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead role is all set to hit the screens on October 7 for the long festival weekend. The trailers promise a colourful mass entertainer. The director has said that it will be the 'Ghilli' of Vijay Sethupathi.

Rathna Siva has earlier directed Arun Vijay-Karthika Nair starrer 'Vaa Deal' which is yet to release. So 'Rekka' will be the first film of the director to hit the screens.

Siva has said in a recent interview that after 'Rekka' he has a script for Ilayathalapathy Vijay and he is waiting for the chance to meet the start and narrate it to him.

Vijay is currently busy with 'Bairavaa' and is expected to team up with directors Atlee and Selvaraghavan for his next two films. We have to wait and see whether Rathna Siva will get the chance to meet him and narrate his script.

But it is not something unlikely as Vijay is the star who is always known to encourage new and young directors.
