Rekha to be honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial Award

Veteran and stunning actress Rekha is all excited and happy, as she will be honoured with the Yash Chopra Memorial Award very soon. The award is in recognition of her talent and contribution to the film industry. The award has been founded by the TSR Foundation of T. Subbarami Reddy in the memory of the producer-director who died in 2012. This Foundation annually honours a renowned and senior film personality for outstanding contribution to film industry with a Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

Sources say that, the jury for this foundation consists of Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, Simi Garewal, Boney Kapoor, Pam Chopra and Reddy, who declared Rekha`s name for this edition of the award. This 61-year-old star has worked with almost all leading star during her time. Rekha will be honoured on February 2 next year by the Governor of Maharashtra in a glittering ceremony in Mumbai, and the other previous recipients include Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
