Many months ago, Regina Cassandra spoke of her interest in surfing and standup paddling. The actress has been inclined to upgrade her standup paddling skills as a matter of hobby. But then, least did she realize that she has the calibre to come first in her first-ever standup paddling competition, which was held the other day in Chennai. Organized by Surf Turf in Kovalam, it saw the 'Evaru' actress participate reluctantly and win glamorously!
"Turned up for the @surfturfindia #SUP #funrace #oceanedition . What was a last-minute decision ended becoming the best. Came 1st in the Women’s Technical Race, which happens to be my first ever #SUP race," the 'AWE' actress wrote on Instagram, thanking her coach.
The 'Subrahmanyam For Sale' actress, who was recently seen in Vishal's 'Chakra' in a negative role, is thrilled that she could do her best despite not being prepared mentally to take up the challenge. A few surfer boys had goaded her to participate in the race.
Regina was actually in Hyderabad busy shooting for a project. She had gone to Chennai on some other work. And then the unplanned participation in the race happened.
