Star actress Regina Cassandra, who has done movies in multiple languages, is interested in playing a leadership role in the arena of rural women’s empowerment. She is going to lead a leadership program in Chakaliguda village of Telangana in her pursuit of the endeavour. She is currently associated with the NGO Democratic Sangha, which was founded by a monk named Brahmachari Chaitanya.

It is learned that the actress has conducted a session on reproductive health and menstrual hygiene in this regard. A Gynaecologist named Dr. Prajwala Addagatla collaborated with her on the program. The program attempts to bring social change by nourishing modules that involve both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Named Rural Women's Leadership Program, it attempts to impact the lives of women positively by ensuring last-mile connectivity. "The program is a capacity-building platform in 12 key areas spread over 12 months," a source says.

Regina was last year seen in 'Saakini Daakini', which was a remake of 'Midnight Runners' (Korean). She is happy to be doing a variety of roles, including in the recent 'Farzi' (Hindi). "It's good that I am getting to do films like 'AWE' and 'Anya's Tutorial'. Filmmakers are seeing me in a variety of roles. I am grateful for that," she said in an interview with IndiaGlitz.
