Kalabhavan Mani is playing a trade union leader in his new film 'Red Salute'. The character titled as Chaala Vaasu is a head load worker in Chala market and also a leftist trade union activist.

This film directed by Vinod Vijayan will also feature Vijayaraghavan, Captain Raju, Cochin Haneefa, Subair, Saadiq, and K.P.A.C.Lalitha. The film will be cinematographed by Rajiv Ravi.

Based on the script by A.Sajeevan, the film will carry two songs by Santhosh Varma and Alex Paul. Red Salute is produced by the same team which created Mani's earlier megahit- Milan Jaleel of Galaxy Films.
