When 'Naatu Naatu' won the Golden Globe Award recently, it trumped some of the biggest names: It defeated a Taylor Swift song, no less. It pipped 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick', no less. Beating a Lady Gaga song was an insuperable feat for an Indian song. What does Ram Charan think about the unparalleled feat?

Appearing on the famous American TV show Good Morning American, the Mega Power Star opined that the award is an honour not just to the creators of 'Naatu Naatu' but also to Indian cinema itself. Indian cinema comes with a history of more than eight decades and the Ram Charan-Jr NTR dance-off is the first song from India to secure a Golden Globe. That's why I say Indian cinema itself has been honoured. It's just the beginning, the 'Magadheera' star said.

He described 'RRR' as a film about friendship, brotherhood and camaraderie between Alluri and Bheem. Charan added that Rajamouli is known as the Steven Spielberg of India.

On March 3, 'RRR' will be re-released in Telugu on 200 screens in North America. On March 12, 'Naatu Naatu' is up for an Oscar schedule. If it wins the award, it will be truly historic for Indian cinema.
