'Rebel' with a cause

One of the prestigious film production house in South India Mahatma Pictures (started in 1946 produced 96 films) started 97th film on Thursday evening at Atria Hotel. The first third generation in to cinema in South India claims SV Rajendra Singh Babu the towering name in Kannada cinema.
SV Rajendra Singh Babu passed the mantle of production to his son Aditya to progress the genesis of his father late Shanker Singh.This disclosure came up on Thursday evening at the media briefing. For 'Rebel' Aditya is the official producer. It is a joint venture with scrap businessman Rajesh Bhat of Mangalore.
'Rebel' is going to controversy and it may reach the level of ban  with such suspicion in mind SV R Singh launched the film in the huge gathering at Atria Hotel in Bengaluru. Rudresh chairman of Kanteeravs studios, Smt Pratima Devi, distributor Pal Chandani, Basanthkumar Patil were present on the dais. In a compact room of Atria Hotel, Pooja from Gundachar, reciting hymns, lighting the lamp by Singh Babu female children took place. The Karnataka chief Minister BSY did not turn up for the hectic work schedule.
Superstar Shivarajakumar clapped for the maiden shot and Karnataka excise Minister Renukacharya switched on the camera for the first shot on Aditya. Shivanna hailed the caliber of Singh Babu and the existence of Mahatma Pictures for 67 years is admirable. He wished to act with Aditya and call me any day said Shivanna.
Excise Minister is of the opinion that Kannada films are very weak but it is not so says KFCC President Basanthkumar Patil sitting next to him. On the earlier two projects Singh Babu has scrapped ÂRakthaksha and 'Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids' Rs.8 crores film will be hassle free in July he hoped.
