Prabhas-starrer Rebel, being directed by Raghava Lawrence, will be shot in Bangkok for good effects in action sequences. Tollywood's affair with Bangkok began many years and star directors like Puri Jagannadh frequenting the place to shoot songs and fights.

In the same line, Lawrence also is banking on the snazzy charm of the place to get the right visual effect. His film is action-significant, if not action-packed. Prabhas' tall frame requires a lavish backdrop and the fights will look all the more scintillating if the buildings happen to be high rise ones.

Recently, Dookudu demonstrated how the appeal of a film can be spruced up by monumental locations (Istanbul in this case). Since it is not the first time Bangkok will be shown on the Telugu screen, it will be challenging for Lawrence and his choreographer to show the same country in a new light.

Meanwhile, the producers are planning to release the first look of Rebel on Prabhas' birthday (Oct. 23).
