Real reason for Thalapathy Vijay riding bicycle to vote – Official clarification

Earlier this morning Thalapathy Vijay one of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema riding a bicycle to the polling booth to cast his vote made headlines and also gave rise to speculations that he was symbolically suggesting whom to vote for to his fans.  Some suggested that since his bicycle was colored red and black the mass hero supported the DMK.

DMK Youth Wing President and actor-producer Udayanidhi Stalin suggested that Vijay may have pointed to the fact that the fuel prices are soaring by his bicycle ride.  Now Riaz K Ahmed the PRO of Vijay has posted an official clarification on social media.

According to the official word “Thalapathy Vijay decided to go by cycle instead of using the car because the poll booth was right next to his residence and taking the car might have congested the road even more.  There was no other intention behind it”.

Whatever may be the explanation the impact of Vijay’s bicycle ride is definitely big and will hog the television debates this evening.
